The Need
Math is fundamental. Every child deserves a strong, inquiry-based math program that fosters conceptual understanding and nurtures their natural curiosity. However, in 2022, just 39% of NYC Public School students were proficient in math (grades 3-8 state exams). Schools need expert support to drive towards equity and excellence in mathematics.
The Solution
Erica Murphy and Jeremy Abarno have a proven record in improving math programs and student outcomes. They achieved 30+ point gains in math proficiency in their individual schools as principals, and in their network as curriculum and academic leaders. Their approach is research-based, emphasizing deep understanding and enjoyable learning.
